Our Mission
The YWCA of Greater Portland is dedicated to changing lives by empowering women and their families to achieve safety, opportunity, and independence.
What We Do
The YWCA provides life-changing social services for women, children and families from all walks — and stages — of life, empowering, guiding and liberating them to attain safety, opportunity and independence.
We provide housing, life skills, and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and their children. We also support seniors by providing resources which allow them to maintain their independence, and prepare children to thrive in today’s multicultural world through innovative camp programs.
As a national organization, the YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
