Senior Services Thrift Store

In response to increasing need, YWCA Senior Services opened a thrift store to serve the community with its affordable goods and to sustain senior programs with its income.

The store provides job skills training to participants of workforce development programs and accepts tax-deductible donations from the public. The Thrift Store is located on the first floor of the Multnomah County East building at the corner of 8th & Kelly in Gresham (600 N.E. 8th Street), and is open from 8:00-4:00 M-F.

The Thrift Store has been operating since 2009. The store is run by volunteers and sells a variety of donated items, which typically range between $0.50 to $5. The inventory changes regularly but you can usually find an assortment of clothing, books, costume jewelry and variety of other household goods.

In addition, YWCA Senior Services partners with a number of agencies to provide vouchers to clients in need. “We are really happy that our Thrift Store is able to support those who need a little extra help getting back on their feet,” said YWCA Senior Services Manager Kristina John Baptiste.

YWCA Senior Services is always looking for donations for the thrift store. To donate, please contact Kristina at (503) 988-3840, ext. 29988.
