Volunteer
Thank you for joining our team of dedicated volunteers! Without you, our programs would not flourish as they do. We are grateful to all of our volunteers and invite you to become part of our successes. Volunteer opportunities include reading to children, teaching computer skills to the elderly, helping at camp sessions or even working a booth to educate our community about the YWCA.
The YWCA of Greater Portland welcomes volunteers in all our projects and we appreciate each and every individual's contribution.

To apply, please fill out our Online Application. The application will ask you to list two references, excluding relatives, who you have worked or volunteered for.
If you are under 18 years of age, please fill out our Youth Application. We will also have your parent or guardian submit a parental permission form.
Once we have received your application and references, our Volunteer Coordinator will invite you to attend an informational orientation session. After orientation, an interview will be scheduled with a staff member from the program of your choice. Please note that you will be asked to sign a Release Form during the orientation, allowing us to run a background check.
